My plans have always been tentative,
yet I promised myself that I will always be the hardest worker in the room.

Level 0: "Life is not a sprint, it's a marathon"  were the last words my academic advisor told me before I had lost a full-ride scholarship to my dream school.

By [January 2015], I weighed 320 lbs., dropped out of two colleges, called off my engagement and had undiagnosed depression, high-blood pressure, pre-diabetes, asthma, and 2nd degree hemorrhoids.

Failure has manifested itself in the form of loneliness, fear, and shame. "I should not have been born" I repeated. For two years, I lived in that failure; I had become that failure. Childish as it may sounds, I hummed "I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul." to the tunes of Creep - Vintage Postmodern Jukebox Radiohead Cover ft. Haley Reinhart.

Why a perfect body and a soul? It's very easy to become a research monkey who was an answer to every question but never lifts a finger, or a meat-head jock who can't plan beyond next week. I fear a day when I look back think “youth is wasted on the young” and I also fear ending up overweight taking anti-depressants and wonder what went wrong.

You become a better human when you work both body and soul.

I hereby post my personal and professional goals publicly. Hold me accountable:

Goals (deadline December 2018):
  1. Write a 100 blog-sized chapters
    1. 10,000 words ✔
    2. 25,000 words
    3. 50,000 words
    4. 100,000 words
  2. Turn it into a book, memoir style

Level 1: Running has been used as a tool to fight terrorism. Mo'ath Alkhawaldeh is an elite runner and an ambassador for Generations for Peace. They implemented youth programs in 22 Middle Eastern and African countries that are focused on using sports to address issues of conflict in our communities. Paul Thompson, his runner coach said: “[They] almost single-handedly showed how running can enrich the lives of their country folk.”

Goals (deadline October 2019):
  1. Translate Running training plan for all major distances✔
  2. Translate the Calisthenics Recommended Routine
  3. Video walkthrough of the calisthenics Recommended Routine. (partially✔)

Level 2: I want to follow the steps of Hal Higdon, (whose training plans helped 500,000 people to run a marathon) I will translate over 10 of his training plans into Arabic free to download, which to my knowledge are the first running plans on the internet (paid or free).

^^^The perfect way to present this info, is to implement a small training wiki like this one by another elite  ultra-runner, named Jonathan Savage (He's aptly named). He's also an ex-fat software developer.

Goals (Deadline May 2020):
  1. Develop an app To record runs with GPS ✔
  2. Develop a running trainer app: C25K to build running mileage.
  3. Develop a website for runners' news, wikia, training plans✔

Level 3: There's an awesome girl empowerment program called Sole Girls. Ashley Wiles's the founder and is an amazing motivational speaker, she's as fast as she's articulate.

The same model can be recreated for students (male or female) with volunteer teachers being coaches. When I reach this level, it'll obviously be a fulltime job.

Goals (deadline January 2019):
  1. Do a TedX Talk about my personal story and websites
  2. Talk in front of 1,000 people✔
  3. Become a commissioned motivational speaker

Level 4: My long term plan is to implement both the November   <-- Project (work-out groups) Bojan (left) and Brogan (right) – Co-Founders of November Project™ and
ParkRun (free weekly races) models that are volunteer-based, community-led projects. Both combined have helped almost 3 million runners in only 3 years.

My 100 race mission is a prerequisite to becoming a race-director with which I’ll start a build-200-races mission. No second-guessing, no looking back, no compromises. This level will need a full team which I will hopefully have.

Goals (deadline January 2025):
Start a Running Revolution:
  1. Encourage 10,000 People to run/walk a 5K
  2. Oversee 100 volunteer-based training groups
  3. Organize 200 races

Last Level?! Dave McGillivray's inarguably the greatest race director of all time and the OG Forrest Gump. Following his steps (pun intended), I also aspire to run cross-country (literally). Just like Gump, we both like running and are autistic. At least I'm high-functioning (Or so I'm told?)

Goals (deadline January 2030):
  1. Run across Saudi Arabia: 1,000 miles
  2. Run a 50K ✔
  3. Run a 50 miler
  4. Run a 100 K

  1. Powerlifting flavor
    1.  Squat: 1.5 x bodyweight (175 pounder aims for 265 lbs)
    2.  Deadlift: 1.8 x bodyweight (175 pounder aims for 315 lbs)
    3.  Bench press: 1 x bodyweight (175 pounder aims for 175 lbs)
    4. Pullups: 8 consecutive solid pullup
